What does the standard actually mean?

BRITISH STANDARD EN 15038 is an industry-specific standard which covers the unique challenges involved in delivering high quality translation services.

Unlike other generic standards such as ISO9000, translation companies offering services which comply with BS EN 15038 must have specific externally auditable processes and procedures in place which provide the checks & balances needed to ensure translation service quality. Beyond mere 'compliance'

Our CEO, Peter Bennett, is not content with merely complying with the standard. Indeed he has been a vocal critic of some aspects of it as he believes it does not go far enough to ensure the quality our Business Critical translation customers demand. Interviewed shortly after our successful audit, he issued the following statement:
